Jira integration

Website bugs from your clients, as Jira issues

Clients report issues from the website itself. Each report becomes an issue in the Jira project you choose, with the annotated screenshot attached and the page URL and browser details in the description.

In Jira

A complete bug report in every issue

Each issue gets the report's title as its summary and a description with what the client wrote, the page URL and the browser details. The annotated screenshot is attached to the issue, and a link takes you back to the full report in GiveFeedback.io.

  • Issue type Bug (or Task or Story if the project has no Bug type)
  • Annotated screenshot attached
  • Page URL, browser, OS and screen size
  • Link to the original report

Two-way sync

Close it in Jira and it's resolved here

When the issue reaches a Done status in Jira, the report is marked resolved in GiveFeedback.io, so clients following the project see the progress. Resolve a report here and the issue moves to Done through your workflow's own transitions. Changes made in Jira are picked up every few minutes. Two-way sync is included in Pro and Company.

How it works

  1. Add the script to your site

Paste one snippet into the <head>. A "Give Feedback" button appears for your clients.

  2. Connect Jira

Sign in with Atlassian, then pick the Jira site and the project for this website.

  3. Reports become issues

Every report your clients send is created as an issue, with the screenshot attached.

Jira integration questions

Is the Jira integration free?

Yes. It's included in every plan, including the free plan: every report your clients send arrives in Jira. Pro and Company also keep the status in sync both ways.

Which issue type does it create?

A Bug if the project has that issue type, otherwise a Task or a Story. The report fills the summary and description; add priority, labels or an assignee in Jira as usual.

Do my clients need a Jira account?

No. Clients only use the feedback button on the website. Issues are created in Jira with your connected account.
