Website feedback, sent to your own software

Any software
Your tracker, your CRM, your own tools
An internal tracker, a CRM, a dashboard, a script that files tasks: anything with an https address can receive the reports. Your software answers with its own reference, and each report in GiveFeedback.io links to what you created. A test button in the settings checks your address before real reports arrive.
- A request for every new report
- Your reference shown on the report
- A test before real reports arrive
Security
Signed, so your software knows it came from us
Every request is signed with a secret that only you and GiveFeedback.io know, so your software can check it came from us before trusting it. If the secret may have leaked, generate a new one in the settings: the old one stops working at once.
- A secret per project
- A new secret whenever you need one
- Only public https addresses

Two-way status
Resolve it in your software, it's resolved here
On Pro and Company the status syncs both ways. Resolve, archive or reopen a report in GiveFeedback.io and your software hears about it; resolve or reopen it from your software and it changes here too, so clients following the project see the progress. A change that came from your software isn't sent back to it.
- Status changes sent as they happen
- Resolve or reopen from your software
- Your reference or ours, whichever you keep

How it works
Add the script to your site
Paste one snippet into the <head>. A "Give Feedback" button appears for your clients.
Enter your address
In the project's Integrations tab, choose Custom API and enter your software's https address. The settings show your signing secret and the technical details your developers need.
Send a test
The test button sends a test request and shows your software's answer, so you know it works before real reports arrive.
Custom API questions
Is the Custom API a webhook?
Yes. GiveFeedback.io sends your software a request for every new report and every status change. On paid plans it also works the other way: your software can resolve or reopen reports.
Is it included in the free plan?
Yes. On Free, every new report is sent to your software, but the status doesn't sync either way. Pro and Company add the two-way status sync.
Where are the technical details?
In the app. Once you add your address in the project's Integrations tab, the Custom API settings show your signing secret, an example of what your software receives, how to check the signature and where to send status changes.
What if my software is down?
Nothing is lost: every report stays in your GiveFeedback.io dashboard. A new report is sent once, so it can never create the same task twice, and status changes are tried again a few times.
Which addresses can I use?
Any public https address of your software. Addresses on private or local networks aren't accepted.
Do my clients need anything?
No. Clients only use the feedback button on the website. Everything else happens between GiveFeedback.io and your software.
